Auscript appointed the new civil transcription provider for the Supreme Court of VictoriaJanelle Mangan
Auscript has been appointed as the preferred provider of real-time, running and deferred transcription services for all civil proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria from 1 July.
The Supreme Court appointment extends Auscript’s relationship with Court Services Victoria which already includes supporting the Victorian Government Reporting Service and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
This latest contract also cements the company’s position as Australia’s largest court recording and transcription company and will see the Auscript team expand to more than 450 people nationally.
Auscript’s flexible range of services will allow judicial officials and parties in the Supreme Court of Victoria to access transcripts on-demand, when needed.
Services will include:
- Real-Time electronic transcripts delivered seconds behind the spoken word within the courtroom and remotely.
- Running transcripts received progressively during the day with a final delivered within two hours after the end of the day’s proceedings.
- Deferred transcripts on requested turnarounds from two to 10 days.
Auscript has been present in Victoria for close to 100 years when the Company first established as the Commonwealth Reporting Service in 1921.
