Auscript supports Women’s Legal Service QLDDawn Mahler
Auscript and For The Record were proud to be sponsors of the seventh annual Legal Profession Breakfast recently held in Brisbane, raising awareness for Women’s Legal Service Queensland.
Women’s Legal Service is a vital community centre that provides life changing legal help to Queensland women and their children, who are impacted by domestic violence. Over 20,000 women were helped by Women’s Legal Service the past year and the record breaking $118,000 donated from the event will enable even more safer futures.
Over 800 legal professionals from throughout Queensland attended the breakfast, including several Auscript and For The Record team members pictured below. Keynote speakers featured Ms Linda Ryle, The Honourable Margaret McMurdo AC, Arman Abrahimzaeh OAM and The Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO, who shared deeply personal stories advocating for the prevention of domestic violence and access to justice for our local community — and all of Australia.
Our team was honoured to attend this year’s Legal Profession Breakfast to raise awareness for this critical cause and remains dedicated to supporting the pursuit of justice every day.
“Sitting amongst the Queensland legal community and hearing courageous, heartfelt anecdotes from a victim of domestic abuse and many champions of justice provided so many powerful examples of how important our work is. The legal community and families going through difficult situations and complex family law depend on us to capture every word, provide timely access to audio recordings and highest quality transcripts. I’m proud to be a part of the Auscript and For The Record teams supporting justice every day.”Client Operations Manager, Jess Stephens
