Auscript provides civil and criminal court transcripts to all Victorian Courts.

Supreme Court of Victoria

Civil Matters

From 1 July 2018, Auscript will be the provider of Real-Time, Running and Deferred transcripts for all civil matters in the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Our flexible range of services will allow judicial officials and parties to proceedings access to transcripts on-demand, when needed.

For added ease and convenience, estimates will be able to be placed and transcripts ordered either online or via our Client Services Team.

Criminal Matters

Auscript provides transcription support to the Victorian Government Reporting Service (VGRS) and produces Criminal and Coronial transcripts on either a Running or Deferred turnaround.

Turnaround Times


Real-Time

Obtain an electronic transcript seconds behind the spoken word within the courtroom and remotely, giving you the ability to flag events and take notes in the transcript instantaneously. A Real-Time transcript needs to be ordered 48 hours prior to the proceeding. Make an enquiry now.

Running

Receive a transcript of the morning session during the lunchtime adjournment and a final transcript of the whole day delivered within two hours after the close of proceedings. Running transcripts must be ordered and confirmed by 9 am on the day the matter occurs.

Deferred

Receive transcripts by close of business on requested turnarounds from two to 10 days.

County Court of Victoria

Civil Matters

Auscript provides Running and Deferred transcripts for civil matters in County Court.

For Running transcripts, we can organise to record directly from the court if the Judge has provided permission for the party to order a transcript. Therefore, it is suggested that transcript orders are placed 24 hours prior to a proceeding.

For deferred orders, the ordering party will need to supply the audio via upload or on CD to Auscript’s Melbourne office (Suite 2, Level 2, 45 William St Melbourne).

To request audio from a past hearing, please contact the courts.

Auscript provides Running and Deferred transcripts for matters in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).

Running transcripts

We can organise to record directly from the court after VCAT is notified of your request. Therefore, it is suggested that transcript requests and orders are placed at least two business days before the scheduled hearing date.

To request a running transcript:

  1. Please notify VCAT of your Running transcript request
  2. Order a Running transcript

Deferred transcripts

  1. Supply the audio via upload or on CD to Auscript’s Melbourne office (Suite 2, Level 2, 45 William St, Melbourne)
  2. Place an order with the Tribunal to request audio from a past hearing.

Once the audio has been provided by the Tribunal, Auscript will provide a cost estimate for the Deferred transcript. The Tribunal will then review the transcript prior to it being delivered (this process can take two to three weeks and is at the discretion of the Tribunal).
