Auscript cements its position in the UK with another acquisitionJanelle Mangan
Auscript has today acquired another of the United Kingdom’s most reputable transcription companies, W B Gurney & Sons (Gurney’s).
The move further cements Auscript’s position in the United Kingdom following the acquisition of Margaret Wort & Co in March, and supports our expanding global service.
Established in 1735, Gurney’s has provided verbatim reporting and transcription services for more than 250 years, and continues to service the Houses of Parliament as well as the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Ministry of Justice and the arbitration, deposition and general transcription market.
With a reputation built on unwavering accuracy and quality, Gurney’s distinguished history includes the formal inquiry into the sinking of the Titanic and the Nuremberg trials.
Auscript’s Chief Operating Officer, Kate Gaske, said Auscript is committed to preserving the rich history of Gurney’s and Margaret Wort and building on their excellent reputations.
“Gurneys has a long-standing and skilled team, and that’s an asset we’ll continue to value while combining this with our innovative technologies to capture, store and deliver high-quality audio and proven production methods,” Ms Gaske said.
“Our new team of court reporters, loggers, stenographers and audio transcribers are considered some of the industry’s most efficient, meticulous and talented professionals – and we are extremely proud to have them on board.”
